The purpose of this web site is reflected in the mission of Pensacola Area Flight Watch, " to preserve, support, and promote General Aviation within the Greater Pensacola Area." The site serves this mission in three ways.

Promulgation of information pertinent to General Aviation interests in the area.
Provision of a channel through which the general public can gain access to information relating to the public service activities of Pensacola Area Flight Watch.
Provision of local historical information and links to other sites designed to pique the interest of the general public in aviation in general, and local General Aviation issues and activities in particular.

The aviation history of the Pensacola area is closely linked to the early developments of Naval Aviation, and hence there is a great deal of Naval Aviation history contained in this site. The external links as well, while devoted to aviation in general, contain a number of sites devoted to the history of military aviation.

The page layout contains both a top and side border. The top border contains buttons that will take you to the home page, to the page just above the current page in the hierarchy, and to all sibling pages of the current page.

The side border contains buttons that will take you to any children pages of the current page. In this example, clicking on one of the child buttons in the side border to the left will take you to an example child page.

In general, buttons in the main text area of a page are external links, or links to specific locations in the the site.

Hyperlinks (underlined text) appearing anywhere will take you to a specific point or page. For example, clicking on Go to Enter will take you to the Enter Page.

At the bottom of each page is a button that will take you back to the Enter Page, as illustrated below.
