NAVAL AIR STATION WHITING FIELD Click on the History button on the left to view a brief synopsis of the history of Whiting Field. Click on the JPATS for information on Whiting's transition to the T6-A Texan II aircraft.
NAS Whiting actually consists of two airfields, North Whiting and South Whiting, with layouts that are mirror images of one another. North Whiting hosts the Navy's primary training, using T34-C aircraft, while South Whiting hosts the Navy's helicopter training.
