General

Ferguson Airport is located beneath a shelf of Class C airspace. Three miles north and west of the field, the bottom of the Class C airspace descends from 1400 t0 700 ft. To the east and south of the field, the Class C airspace is at the surface. Do not descend into the landing pattern. Rather, descend north or northwest of the field and enter the traffic pattern at 527 ft. MSL(500 ft. AGL).

IFR  Arrivals

There are no published instrument approach procedures for Ferguson Field. When released from ATC frequency, contact Ferguson UNICOM on CTAF 122.8 for airport advisories, then self-announce 10 miles out (if on CTAF at that distance), on downwind, on base leg, on final, and on leaving the runway.

VFR  Arrivals

If penetrating NAS Whiting/Pensacola Regional/NAS Pensacola Class C airspace (or if Pensacola Approach Control Radar services are desired) contact Pensacola Approach Control on 119.0 (340 to 159 degrees from PNS), 120.05 (160 to 250 degrees from PNS), or 118.6 (251 to 339 degrees from PNS) and advise that you are landing at Ferguson Airport. When released from ATC frequency, contact Ferguson UNICOM on CTAQF 122.8 for airport advisories, then self-announce 10 miles out (if on CTAF at that distance), on downwind, on base leg, on final, and on leaving the runway.

Landing Pattern

Left traffic all runways. Traffic pattern altitude is 527 ft. MSL(500 ft. AGL). Remain within 1/2 mile east of the runway. Enter the traffic pattern from the north or northwest only. Enter the upwind leg of the pattern for Runway 18. Enter the downwind leg of the pattern for Runway 36.

Taxi and Parking

Turn west at the end of the runway. Taxi toward mid-field. Park west of the grass runway and south of the gas pump. Park near the gas pump if refuelling.

Special Rules

No straight-in approaches. Land on the grass runway or on the paved runway. Aircraft can land while other aircraft are taxiing. Taxi on the west side of the grass area. Takeoff on the paved runway. Do not fly oner trailer park or any houses below an altitude of 527 ft. MSL(500 ft. AGL).

Taxi and turnup on the west side of the grass area. Don't forget radio calls before taxiing and before taxiing onto the runway.

Runway 18 Takeoff

Takeoff on the paved runway. Climb straight ahead to 300 ft. MSL, then turn left, climbing to a left downwind. Depart north at pattern altitude, 527 ft. MSL(500 ft. AGL).

Runway 36 Takeoff

Takeoff on the paved runway. Climb straight ahead to pattern altitude, 527 ft. MSL(500 ft. AGL).

VFR Departures

West and northwest.

Continue north of Highway 98 before turning west or northwest. Remain below 700 ft. MSL until over Perdido Bay. Do not climb above 1400 ft. MSL until no longer below Class C airspace. To climb into Class C airspace, contact Pensacola Approach Control on 118.6.

North

Remain below 700 ft. MSL until over Perdido Bay. Do not fly over Saufley Field. Do not climb above 1400 ft. MSL until no longer below Class C airspace. To climb into Class C airspace, contact Pensacola Approach Control on 118.6.

East and northeast

Remain below 700 ft. MSL until over Perdido Bay. You cannot fly east or northeast without penetrating Class C airspace.To enter Class C airspace, contact Pensacola Approach Control on 118.6.
